ABOUT THE ARTIST

Maria Kreyn (b. 1987) is an American artist known for evocative paintings that merge figuration, abstract geometries, and elemental atmospherics.

With a background in mathematics, philosophy, neuroscience, and mythology, Kreyn creates atmospheric scenes rich in complexity and innovation.

WELCOME TO CHRONOS — where time, weather, and humanity meet.

The exhibition CHRONOS invites participants into a profound reflection on the essence of time, the unpredictable nature of weather, and our intrinsic yet fragile bond with the environment. It proposes an immersive journey into the materiality of time and our existential dialogue with the natural world, urging viewers to contemplate their place within the ongoing narrative of environmental change. Through this immersive exploration, Kreyn’s work fosters a critical engagement with the themes of creation, destruction, and the potential for rebirth, challenging us to confront the realities of our relationship with the planet.

THE STORM PAINTINGS

In the era of climate change and environmental crisis, CHRONOS symbolizes our limited time to act. It urges us to make sustainable choices, preserve the planet, and ensure its well-being for future generations. CHRONOS calls for awareness, proactive measures, and collective efforts.

Ultimately, CHRONOS prompts us to embrace a holistic perspective, guiding us to navigate intentionally, care for the planet, and recognize the interconnectedness of past, present, and future.
